Passage search matches the text as written — “Romans 8” finds “Romans 8:1-17”, but not “Rom 8”. Understanding passages properly comes later.
When you add a sermon to a service, record the passage, series and a sentence or two about it. In a year you'll be able to answer “have we taught this before?” — but only for the messages recorded from now on.
